a lot

lol!  it's been a long time since I wrote in here.   A lot has happened.

I was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis after Christmas.  COurse it took three months to get the correct diagnosis.  They kept insisting that it was just allergies.  Allergies don't last that long and make you cough up that much phlegm!

But I've been doing the treatments and am doing a bit better.  I go back on the 25th for a followup with the pulmonologist.  It's a long treatment to get it undercontrol, especially when you're allergic to prednisone.

My puppy died last June, almost a year ago now.  She was 14 1/2 years old.  I still miss her.  I had walked into the backyard to check her water and to splash her down and found her spread out not responding.  I had just checked her like 3 hours before that, so it was pretty quick.  We think she was chasing one of the squirrels and just keeled over.  R.I.P. Ginger.

These are pictures I took of some of the damage around my house and the neighborhood here in Baton ROuge.  This is 2 weeks after the storm went through here.

This is the sycamore tree that fell.  It landed in the street thankfully instead of on the house.  The corner of the house showing is our kitchen and dining room area.  The oak tree and pine tree made it.  :D

This is the corner of the house that was damaged when the transformer blew across the street, yanking on the pole and then yanking on the house.  The white thing is an empty sand bag.

This is the intersection that is still on blinking red, and portable stop signs from the huge oak tree that fell.  You might want to enlarge it to see it better.

This is the oak tree that fell that took out the signal lights at the intersection above.

A pile of tree debris that still has not been picked up.

Another pile of debris.

A pickup truck that was damaged by a falling tree.

This is behind the one school.  As I was driving by, they were bulldozing the part of the building that had been destroyed by the winds.
